Author Observations- Lauraine Snelling

Hey guys! Sorry to be posting late again. I've titled this post Author Observations, and that's what I'll be doing for right now instead of Wednesday's Writings. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up Wednesday's Writings again, but with being so busy, I don't even have time to write. I'll post for Author Observatios on the week I do Wednesday's Writings, but it might not be specifically on Wednesday.

I hope that makes sense to y'all!

Now I'd like to talk about one of my favorite authors, Lauraine Snelling. She's written a couple equestrian series for girls, but she's more often known as a romance writer.

I've read most of her books, and I really enjoy them. Her books are mostly historical romance, about pioneers and their struggles, but also some western romance. She is still writing and one of her new series isn't finished yet. I know she has at least one more book coming out next year, maybe more.

Several of her series correspond with each other, connecting families and friends. These are the Red River of the North, Return to Red River, Daughters of Blessing, Home to Blessing, and Song of Blessing series. I have listed the series in chronological order. There are also two books which are like a prologue and an epilogue to these series, An Untamed Heart and A Blessing to Cherish.

I've also enjoyed her Dakota Treasures series, as well as her newest series, Leah's Garden. Currently, I've borrowed her Wild West Wind series from the library, but have yet to begin them.

Lauraine Snelling's books center around a Christian faith which is portrayed heavily in her writing. I don't agree with some of her theological beliefs, but otherwise, her writing can be deep.

I would highly suggest reading her books. Her characters have real life struggles and trials, but they overcome them by their faith in the Lord.

P.S. I'd like to share a great place to get books with y'all. It's called Thrift Books, and you can get used books from there for really great prices.
