As you can see from the photo, today's post contains some awfully cute kittens. These cuties were a Christmas gift to my littlest sister, Margaret.
We've been planning to get a cat for a couple months now, as we have rats outside our house, so these kitties were not unexpected. They were just unexpected for Christmas.
The calico is a female and her name is Mabel. Dad thought up the name and Margaret agreed.
Mabel is a very calm, curious, and brave kitten. She likes to climb and chase toys.
Mabel is definitely the leader and the smarter of the two. She figures out ways to climb up and hide on things in funny ways.
Mabel really likes to cuddle. If you hold her close and pet her, she'll snuggle up against you and fall asleep.
The grey kitten is a male. His name is Oliver, a name I found a couple months ago and thought was really cute.
Oliver can be a very timid kitty. When he's by himself, he's much braver, but sometimes he gets so scared that he starts to shake.
Oliver is the follower and the sleeper of the two. He's more often sleeping and hiding than Mabel.
Whenever Mabel can't find Oliver, she meows loudly and he always comes running.
They are definitely close siblings. When they snuggle up against each other to sleep, they are extra cute!
There are lots of noises in our yard and their ears are always twitching toward them. When they're trying to see something, they stand up on their hind legs to get a better look.
I hope y'all enjoyed these pictures and hopefully, I'll have more of these cuties soon.
