Today I'd like to change it up a bit. I'm going to post 5 tips on better photography and examples of each one. These photos won't be anything new, just photos I've already added to the portfolio.
Tip #1: Fill the frame. When you're taking a photo of something with patterns or texture, filling the frame completly of the object gives it a fuller and less distracting look.
Tip #2: Stand farther away and zoom in. On good camera, by standing further away from the object and zooming in, you can blur the background considerably. This does not work on phone cameras because it makes the photo grainy.
Tip #3: Take the photo from above. This gives a different perspective and often makes the photo look better. Using this technique for portraits is also a good idea. For portraits, you may have to stand on something so that you can look down into the face of your model.
Tip #4: Get on the same level as your subject. By taking a photo of something above or below it, you can sometimes diminish from the photo. This is true for portraits as well. Try to be on the same level as your model or drastically be higher or lower.
Tip #5: Get up close and personal. Getting a closer perspective of something can really have an effect on your photos. By getting close or really zooming in, you can get a whole new photo.
I hope these help y'all with your photography, whether it's just randomly or for a hobby. Enjoy!
