I'm Dee!
Hi! My name is Dee. Welcome to my blog! I'm thrilled to have you!
I'm an eighteen-year-old homeschooler originally from North Carolina, but since my parents are missionaries, I now call Kenya my home. Kenya is more of my home than any other place. We've lived here for going on 11 years. I've also lived in the Middle East for some time.
I'm the oldest of seven. I have two younger sisters and four younger brothers. That might seem like a lot, but without them, our family wouldn't be complete. Our family also includes several animals. My dog, Finnigan is pictured at left. One of my younger brothers has a guinea pig, and my littlest sister has a pair of kittens, Oliver and Mabel. My other sister, Ruby Mae has two bunnies, Jasper and Miles.
As an avid reader, some of my favorite authors are Janette Oke, Lauraine Snelling, Robin Jones Gunn, Laura Frantz, and Elisabeth Elliot. Besides reading, some of my other hobbies include photography, gardening, writing, doing calligraphy, and playing the piano. I also enjoy riding horses, taking my dog for a walk, going to church, and hanging out with my friends. Writing has taken up a considerable amount of my time over the past several years, and now I have something to show for it. An article I wrote was recently published on the Rebelution.com!
Most important of all is my faith in my Savior Jesus Christ. As Christian, I hope to display the message of the Gospel here in my writing. My desire is that this blog clearly shows the message of Christ in all that I write and I hope that you are encouraged through this blog.
